Private Wells Study

Messrs. Eldridge, Pacheco, Moore, Gomez, Feeney, Collins, Mark, O'Connor, Cronin and Cyr moved that the proposed new text be amended in section 2, in item 2200-0100, by adding the following words:- “; provided further, that not less than $100,000 shall be expended for the department of environmental protection to conduct a study related to the creation of a statewide program to ensure safe drinking water for residents relying on private wells; provided further, that not later than January 1, 2025, the department shall submit report to the joint committee on environment and natural resources and the house and senate committees on ways and means detailing the findings of said study”; and by striking out the figure "$54,009,482” and inserting in place thereof the following figure:- "$54,109,482".
