DCR Stewardship of Coastal Resources

Messrs. Tarr, Keenan and O'Connor moved that the proposed new text be amended in section 2, in item 2810-0100, by inserting at the end thereof the following:-"; provided that the department shall conduct a comprehensive assessment of all coastal properties under its control or ownership, to determine their current state with regard to safety, sustainability, and vulnerability with regard to coastal erosion and climate change, and shall develop an action plan to cost-effectively address issues identified by such assessment, which shall include time and cost estimates for the implementation of such plan, provided further, that said assessment and plan shall be filed with the clerks of the House and Senate, the Joint Committee on natural Resources, and the Senate and House committees on ways and means not later than May 1, 2025."
