An Act naming "The Bill Russell and Bob Cousy Highway".
Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to designate forthwith a certain portion of interstate route 90 between the city of Boston and the town of Auburn, therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public convenience.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the portion of interstate highway route 90, also known as the Massachusetts turnpike, between the city of Boston and the town of Auburn shall be named “The Bill Russell and Bob Cousy Highway”. The Massachusetts Department of Transportation shall erect and maintain appropriate signage to mark this designation.
