Amendment #1065 to H4000

Massachusetts Women’s History Center

Ms. Nguyen of Andover moves to amend the bill in section 2, in item 7008-1116, by inserting after “projects” the following: “; provided further, that not less than $300,000 shall be expended for the Massachusetts Women’s History Center, Inc. (MWHC) to promote civic participation through education, the arts, events and convenings, and for any costs related to MWHC launching the Massachusetts Women’s Hall of Fame including honoring the first class of awardees which will amplify historic women of the Revolution and contemporary women and groups/organizations, and for any costs related to MWHC opening a physical space in Massachusetts that will be open to the public, and for researching and creating exhibits for that space, which will highlight historic and contemporary Massachusetts women and organizations that have made a profound impact"
