Amendment #1070 to H4000

Greater Lawrence Community Boating Program

Mr. Paulino of Methuen moves to amend the bill in section 2, in item 2320-0100, by adding the following:

“; provided further, that not less than $50,000 shall be expended for the Greater Lawrence Community Boating Program to support youth boating, rowing, and water safety programming at the Abe Bashara Boathouse in Lawrence, including training, certifications, and seasonal employment opportunities for low-income youth; and to expand after-school and summer enrichment activities that promote leadership, environmental stewardship, and access to the Merrimack River.” and in said item, by striking out the figure “$973,975” and inserting in place thereof the figure “$1,023,975.”
