Amendment #1223 to H4000

MassHealth Telehealth Reimbursement Parity Continuation

Ms. Decker of Cambridge moves that the bill be amended in section 2, in line item 4000-0700, in line 10, by inserting after the words “prior fiscal years” the following: “; provided further, the executive office shall reimburse eligible distant-site providers delivering covered services via telehealth at parity with their in-person counterparts, including any claim by the provider’s facility if allowed under the provider’s governing regulations or contracts; provided further, the executive office shall not impose a financial penalty for inpatient hospital services provided to MassHealth patients that are readmitted to a hospital”.
