Amendment #1591 to H4000

Eliminate the Death Tax

Mr. Boldyga of Southwick moves to amend the bill by adding the following section:

SECTION XXXX. Notwithstanding any general or special laws to the contrary, Section 2A of chapter 65C of the General Laws, is hereby amended by striking out the section in its entirety and replacing it with the following: "The estates of decedents dying on or after July 4, 2026 shall not be required to pay any tax."
