Jail and Arrest Diversity Grant Program

Mr. Cruz of Salem moves to amend the bill in section 2, in item 5046-0000, in line 15, by striking out the following: “provided further, funds shall be expended for jail diversion programs in municipalities that provide equal matching funds from other public or private sources” and inserting in place thereof the following:- “provided further, that not less than $21,500,000 shall be expended to maintain and expand the jail diversion program; provided further, that funds shall be expended at not less than the same level as the prior fiscal year for jail diversion programs in municipalities that provide equal matching funds from other public or private sources” and in said item by striking out the figures “$661,933,895” and inserting in place thereof the figures:- “$683,433,895”.
