Pilot Program for ID Scanners to Combat the Sale of Alcohol and Tobacco to Minors

Mr. Kearney of Scituate moves to amend the bill in section 8000-0199, by adding the following language:

"Provided further, that not less than $100,000 shall be expended for a Pilot Program through the Alcoholic Beverages Control Commission (ABCC) to provide local stores with funding to acquire ID scanners designed to combat the sale of alcohol and tobacco products to minors. The program shall focus on expanding the use of these technologies to strengthen compliance and improve public health and safety."
