Amendment #218 to H4000

Re-activation of Free Full Day Kindergarten (FFDK) Program

Mr. Kearney of Scituate moves to amend the bill in section 7061-0012, by adding the following language:

"Provided further, that not less than $2,000,000 shall be expended for the re-activation of the Free Full Day Kindergarten (FFDK) Program within the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE), to enable the 18 communities who either did not apply or did not qualify when the grant program ended in 2016 to participate in FFDK and ensure that all children have access to high-quality, free full-day kindergarten education."
