Amendment #257 to H4000

Methuen Youth Innovation HUB (YIB)

Mr. Paulino of Methuen moves to amend the bill in section 2, in item 7061-9611, by adding the following:

“; provided further, that not less than $100,000 shall be expended for Methuen Youth Innovation, Inc. to support the establishment and operations of the Methuen Youth Innovation HUB (YIB), with a focus on empowering youth in the district through comprehensive leadership development, social skills building, and civic engagement. Funds shall support programs that nurture emotional intelligence, public speaking, teamwork, and community responsibility, while also promoting youth-led initiatives that address local challenges. The hub shall serve as a safe and inclusive space where young people can explore their potential, strengthen peer connections, and develop into thoughtful, active participants in the civic and social life of Methuen.”

and in said item by striking out the figures “$7,272,449” and inserting in place thereof the figures “$7,372,449.”
