Amendment #541 to H4000

Credit Card Taxes

Representatives Jones of North Reading, Ferguson of Holden, Frost of Auburn, Muradian of Grafton, Vieira of Falmouth and Smola of Warren move to amend the bill by adding the following section:-

“SECTION XX. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the department of revenue shall decrease the percent that a payment processor may charge taxpayers using a credit card to pay their taxes from 2.35% to 1.5%.”
