Amendment #606 to H4000
Preserving Public Safety Grant Funding for Cities and Towns
Representatives Jones of North Reading, Ferguson of Holden, Frost of Auburn, Muradian of Grafton, Vieira of Falmouth and Smola of Warren move to amend the bill by adding the following section:
"SECTION XX. Section 3A of chapter 40A of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2022 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting, in subsection (b), in line 18, after the words “chapter 23A” the following:-
'; provided, however, that under no circumstances shall any city or town’s eligibility for public safety related grant funding, including but not limited to the Firefighter Safety Equipment Grant program, be contingent upon that city or town’s compliance with this section'"
