Teach for America Recruitment and Addressing Vacancies

Mrs. Lipper-Garabedian of Melrose moves to amend the bill in Section 2, in item 7061-9408, by adding at the end thereof the following: "and provided further, that not less than $500,000 be expended for the recruitment and training of educators offered by Teach for America Massachusetts to expand the teacher corps to address teacher vacancies in high need public schools, and close achievement gaps,” and moves to further amend the bill in item 7061-9408 by striking the figure “$16,454,430” and replacing it with the figure “$16,954,430”
