Amendment #765 to H4000

Food Literacy

Representatives Vargas of Haverhill and Duffy of Holyoke move to amend the bill in section 2, in item 7010-1192 by inserting the following:

"provided further, that not less than $1,000,000 shall be expended for programs and resources to support farm to school & food system literacy programming in public elementary and secondary schools and early education programs; provided further, that the department of elementary and secondary education, may expend these funds to: (i) offer grants through the current operating farm to school FRESH Grant program in the amount of not less than $750,000; and (ii) expand the school wellness coaching program in the amount of $250,000 prior authorization continued"
