Amendment #918 to H4000

Food Dye Ban

Mr. Howitt of Seekonk moves to amend the bill by adding the following section:-

“SECTION XX. Section 186 of Chapter 94 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2022 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out lines 83 and 84, and inserting in place thereof the following:

‘Tenth, if it falls below the standard of purity, quality or strength which it purports or is represented to possess; or

Eleventh, if it contains any added substance or ingredients which are poisonous or injurious to the health, including Red Dye 3, Red Dye 40, Yellow Dye 5, Yellow Dye 6, Blue Dye 1, Blue Dye 2, and Green Dye 3.’”
