Reducing patient harm and health care costs through a pilot of automated adverse event monitoring in hospitals
Mr. Lawn of Watertown moves to amend the bill in Section 2, in line item 4100-0063 for the Betsy Lehman Center for Patient Safety and Medical Error Reduction, by inserting after the words “section 15 of chapter 12C of the General Laws” the following: “provided that no more than $2,300,000 be expended to implement the roadmap to health care safety for Massachusetts including a pilot program of automated adverse event monitoring in Massachusetts hospitals” and in said item by striking out the figures “$3,174,027” and inserting in place thereof the figures “$5,474,027”
