Amendment #17 to H4005

Methuen Speed Awareness and Safety Program

Mr. Paulino of Methuen moves to amend the bill in section 2A, in item 1596-2507, by adding the following:

"; provided further, that not less than $100,000 shall be expended for the City of Methuen to purchase and install solar-powered radar speed limit signs to promote traffic safety and reduce vehicle speeding in high-risk areas throughout the city, with priority given to locations near schools, parks, senior housing, and other zones identified through traffic incident data"; and in said item by striking out the figures "$100,000"  and inserting in place thereof the figures "$200,000".
