Floor Amendment

Mr. Walsh of Peabody moves to amend the bill by adding the inserting after section 1 the following section:

“Section 1A. Notwithstanding the provisions of section 10 of chapter 22C of the General Laws regarding the maximum age of applicants for initial enlistment as uniformed members of the state police, Adam T. Jankowski shall be eligible to take the next competitive examination for appointment for initial enlistment as a uniformed member of the state police and, provided he meets all other requirements, shall be eligible for appointment.”

And by striking out the title and inserting in place thereof the following title: “An Act authorizing Adam T. Jankowski to take the civil service examination for the position of police officer in the city of Haverhill or the position of uniformed member of the state police notwithstanding the maximum age requirement.”
