Amendment #15 to H4530

Restricting Private Equity

Mr. Day of Stoneham moves to amend the bill by adding the following section:-

SECTION XXXX.  Section 13 of Chapter 6D of the General Laws is hereby amended by inserting after paragraph (k) the following paragraph:

(l) The commission, the center and the attorney general shall not approve any material change where a private equity group, as defined by Section 10 of Chapter 343 of the Acts of 2024, seeks to purchase acute hospitals or community health centers.
