Definition of insurance policy negotiation

Mr. Biele of Boston moves to amend the bill by inserting the following section:

“SECTION XXXX. Section 1 of Chapter 175 is hereby amended by adding the following:  ‘Negotiation of a policy of insurance’, an insurer’s request for specific information to facilitate underwriting and rating for each policy term. An insured that allows a policy to renew automatically based on existing information is taking an affirmative action.”
