Amendment #58 to H4601

Ensuring local receipt of funding for World Cup costs

Representatives Scanlon of North Attleborough, Roy of Franklin, Philips of Sharon, Vaughn of Wrentham, Chaisson of Foxborough, Hawkins of Attleboro and McMurtry of Dedham move to amend the bill in section 11, in line 245, by inserting after “media;” the following:-

“provided further, that in evaluating grant applications, priority shall be given to applicants based on their being located in Foxborough or in municipalities in the vicinity of Foxborough that are anticipated by the office of travel and tourism to incur costs as a result of hosting or proximity to the 2026 World Cup matches;”
