Amendment #4 to H4644

Veteran Family Data and Reporting

Mr. Kearney of Scituate moves to amend the bill, as amended, by inserting the following new section:

SECTION 6. Chapter 18B of the General Laws is hereby amended by inserting after section 6C the following section: - Section 6D. (a) The department shall track and maintain anonymized data on all cases involving veteran or military-connected families. Such data shall include, but not be limited to:

(1) The number and geographic distribution of such cases.

(2) The nature and outcome of the department’s involvement.

(3) The utilization of veteran-specific resources and services by such families.

(b) The office of the child advocate shall annually analyze the data collected pursuant to subsection (a) and submit a report containing its findings and any policy recommendations to the joint committee on children, families and persons with disabilities, the joint committee on veterans and federal affairs, and the house and senate committees on ways and means.
