Amendment #1 to H4672

School District Unfunded Mandate reimbursement funding

Mr. Pease of Westfield moves to amend the bill in section 10 of the bill, in line 138, by inserting after the word "department" the following words:

"provided further, that the department of elementary and secondary education shall provide funding, subject to appropriation, sufficient to cover the costs incurred by school districts to implement the screening assessments and progress monitoring required under this section, including but not limited to costs associated with assessment tools, data management, staff training, and parent communications."
