Preserving Energy Storage and Offshore Wind Solicitation Requirements

Mr. Owens of Watertown moves to amend the bill by adding the following sections:-

“SECTION XX. This Act shall not affect the requirements on the distribution companies, in coordination with the department of energy resources, to solicit proposals for energy storage systems under section 83E of chapter 169 of the acts of 2008, as most recently amended by section 98 of chapter 239 of the acts of 2024.

SECTION XX. This Act shall not affect the requirements on the distribution companies, in coordination with the department of energy resources, to solicit proposals for offshore wind generation under section 83C of chapter 169 of the acts of 2008, as most recently amended by section 71 of chapter 73 of the acts of 2025.”
