Stoneham Public Safety

Mr. Day of Stoneham moves to amend the bill by adding the following section:- "SECTION XX. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the Town of Stoneham Police Department shall be permitted to waive the maximum age requirement for original appointment of police officers in the Town of Stoneham; provided, however, said officer-candidates for appointment meet all other requirements set forth by the Stoneham Police Department for original appointment to the position of police officer.

Section XXX. The provisions of this act shall take effect immediately upon passage.
