To Fund Pedestrian and Bike Safety

Mr. Gómez of Easthampton moves to amend the bill by adding at the end of section 2B the following item:

6122-2740.  For a grant program to be administered by the Department of Transportation for "Civic Access Improvements" to enhance pedestrian and bicycle safety within a half-mile radius of public schools, libraries, and municipal town halls; provided, that priority shall be given to projects that improve student access to civic institutions and promote youth engagement in local government...$10,000,000
