Allocation for Rural Communities

Miss Davis of Great Barrington moves to amend the bill in section 2A, in item 6121-2768, in line 57, by inserting after "finance” the following: "provided further, that not less than 20 percent of the funds authorized in this item shall be reserved for rural communities, defined as municipalities with population densities of less than 500 persons per square mile or a population of less than 7,000 persons, in each case as shown in the most recent U.S. decennial census”.
