Truck Sideguard Retrofitting

Ms. Decker of Cambridge moves to amend the bill by striking out section 6 and inserting in place thereof the following section:-

"SECTION 6. Item 6720-2258 of section 2F of said chapter 176 is hereby amended by inserting after the word "commerce" the following:- "; provided, that $1,000,000 shall be expended for a municipal grant program to assist cities and towns in purchasing safety devices required under section 7 of chapter 90 of the General Laws for municipally owned or leased motor vehicles, semi‑trailers or semi‑trailer units, as defined in section 1 of said chapter 90" and by striking out the figure “10,000,000” and inserting in place thereof the following figure:- 23,000,000."
