Amendment #1165 to H5500

Newton Brigham House Arts and Culture Center

Mr. Schwartz of Newton moves to amend the bill in section 2, in line item 7008-1116, by adding the following:

"; provided further, that not less than $50,000 shall be expended to the City of Newton as part of a larger interior restoration of a city-owned historic 1886 Queen Anne style former home of the Brigham family, to house the city's Arts and Culture Department and general community meeting space"; and in said item by striking out the figures "$100,000" and inserting in place thereof the figures "$150,000".
