Amendment #1235 to H5500

Reduce the Sales Tax

Mr. Boldyga of Southwick moves to amend the bill by adding the following section:

"SECTION XXXX. Notwithstanding any special or general laws to the contrary, Section 2 of Chapter 64H of the General Laws, is hereby amended by striking out "6.25 per cent" and replacing it with "5 per cent".

subsection a. This section shall take effect January 1, 2027."
