Lower Public Utilities Costs
Mrs. Sullivan-Almeida of Abington moves to amend the bill by inserting the following section:
“SECTION XXXX. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, for fiscal year 2027 all public benefit charges assessed on residential and commercial gas utility customers, including energy efficiency charges, residential assistance charges, renewable or clean energy programs, distributed solar charges, and electric vehicle charges, shall be reduced by 25 percent.”
