Eliminates Public Utility Costs

Mrs. Sullivan-Almeida of Abington moves to amend the bill by inserting the following section:

“SECTION XXXX. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, for fiscal year 2027, no public benefit charges, including energy efficiency charges, residential assistance charges, renewable or clean energy programs, distributed solar charges, and electric vehicle charges, shall be assessed on electric or gas utility ratepayers in the commonwealth."
