Administrative Hiring Report

Representatives Jones of North Reading, Ferguson of Holden, Frost of Auburn, Muradian of Grafton, Vieira of Falmouth and Smola of Warren move to amend the bill by adding the following section:- 

“SECTION XXXX. The governor’s office shall submit to the clerks office of the house of representatives and the senate an annual employment report detailing all hiring activities conducted within the previous fiscal year for all state departments and offices. The report shall include, but not be limited to, total expenditures related to salaries, benefits, recruitment costs, and any other associated expenses, as well as an analysis of hiring expenditures compared to budget allocations.

This report shall be submitted each year no later than July 1st each year. In cases of non-compliance with the reporting requirements established by this section, the Legislature may authorize the withholding of funds, including access to the emergency assistance shelter fund, from the executive branch until such a time that the reporting requirements have been met.”
