New Bedford Port Society Herman Melville Statue

Mr. Hendricks of New Bedford moves to amend the bill in section 2, in line item 7008-1116, by inserting after "projects" the following: "; and provided further, that not less than $50,000 shall be expended to the Port Society in New Bedford for costs related to designing and constructing a statue in honor of the renowned author Herman Melville at the Seaman's Bethel in New Bedford"
