Amendment #1432 to H5500

Ensuring Kids' Access to Durable Medical Equipment

Mr. Rogers of Cambridge moves to amend the bill by adding the following sections:

"SECTION XXXX.

section 1. Chapter 118E of the General Laws, as appearing, is hereby amended by striking section 10F(b)(7) from Chapter 118E.

section 2.  Chapter118E of the Generals Laws, as appearing is hereby amended by adding the following section-

Section 10F(a)(5): $200 of durable medical equipment per year; provided, however, the division will authorize up to $500 per year to prevent unnecessary hospitalization for children with chronic medical conditions, so-called, when clinically necessary according to program guidelines."
