Fair Housing

Mr. Rogers of Cambridge moves to amend the bill in section 2 by inserting in item 7004-0099 after the word “requirements” the following: “; provided further that not less than $2,000,000 shall be expended for the Fair Housing Fund as established by Section 6 of Chapter 150 of the Acts of 2024 to be administered by the Office of Fair Housing at the Executive Office of Housing and Livable Communities for the purpose of eliminating housing discrimination; provided further that not less than $500,000 shall be expended for operating expenses for the Office of Fair Housing; and provided further that not less than $2,000,000 shall be expended for fair housing organizations operating in the Commonwealth to carry out education, testing, advocacy, and legal assistance to advance fair housing enforcement and litigation, provided that such organizations are Fair Housing Enforcement Organizations or Qualified Fair Housing Enforcement Organizations, as defined in 24 C.F.R. § 125.103 (version effective as 12/1/2025)"; and in said item by striking the figures "$21,785,301" and inserting in place thereof the figures "$26,285,301".
