Child Protection Program

Mr. O'Day of West Boylston moves to amend the bill, in Section 2, in item 0930-0100, by adding at the end thereof the following:"; provided further that not less than $250,000 shall be expended for a hospital-based, comprehensive Child Protection Program at UMass Memorial Medical Center providing 24/7 pediatric abusive injury care, including medical evaluation and diagnosis services in cases of pediatric sexual abuse, sexual assault, physical abuse and neglect; timely health care evaluations and examinations for children entering foster care; training of medical, educational and social service professions regarding physical and mental health issues for victims of abuse." and in said item by striking out the figures "$4,188,835" and inserting in place thereof the figures "$4,438,835".
