Amendment #1579 to H5500

HomeBASE Citizenship Requirement

Mr. Sweezey of Duxbury moves to amend the bill by adding the following section:

"SECTION XXXX. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the Executive Office of Housing and Livable Communities shall verify the United States citizenship of each applicant prior to the award or disbursement of any HomeBASE benefit and shall not approve or disburse HomeBASE funds to any applicant who fails to provide satisfactory evidence of United States citizenship".
