Amendment #169 to H5500

Scope Enhancement of the Homeless Youth Grant Program

Mr. Owens of Watertown moves to amend the bill by adding the following section:

“SECTION XXXX.

Section 16X of Chapter 6A of the General Laws as appearing in the 2024 Official Edition is hereby amended in line 15, by striking the words “and transition to independent living programs” and inserting in place thereof the words:- “transition to independent living programs; and unrestricted direct cash transfer programs, both one-time and recurring”.

Said Section 16X of said Chapter 6A, as so appearing, is hereby further amended in line 25, by striking the words “and provision of basic needs” and inserting in place thereof the words:- “provision of basic needs; peer navigation; and financial coaching.”.
