Amendment #1724 to H5500

Thomas P. Kennedy Spinal Injury Trust Fund

Ms. Plouffe of Brockton moves to amend the bill by adding the following section:

“SECTION XXXX. Section 59A of chapter 10 of the General Laws, as so appearing, is hereby amended by inserting after the word “of” the following words:- “(i) any revenue from appropriations or other monies authorized by the general court and specifically designated to be credited to the fund; (ii) all revenues received by the commonwealth from public and private sources as gifts, grants and donations to support and maintain the Thomas P. Kennedy Spinal Cord Injury Trust Fund; and (iii)”; and by striking out the word “services” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- “and clinical trials in acute and chronic research”; and by inserting after the word “recommendations” the following words:- “A fee of one thousand dollars per out-of-state reviewer shall be paid for by the fund.”; and by striking out the words “2 physicians and 1 member” and inserting in place thereof the words “3 physicians and 2 members”.
