Timely Retirement Payments

Mr. Howitt of Seekonk moves to amend the bill by adding the following section:-

“SECTION X. Subsection (b) of clause (1) of Section 13 of Chapter 32 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2022 Official Edition, is hereby amended in line 19 by inserting after the words “may be” the following words:-

‘; provided that the first payment to a retiree shall be made no later than 30 days after the effective date of their retirement.’”
