Amendment #523 to H5500

For Fire Department Equipment

Mr. Gómez of Easthampton moves to amend the bill by adding the following section:

"SECTION XXXX.  South Hadley Fire Department (District 2) – $65,000 (or $50,000) to upgrade personal radios to P25-compliant equipment. The Department’s current radios do not meet P25 standards, limiting interoperability with other emergency response agencies. This funding will ensure reliable communication during emergencies and improve coordination and responder safety.
