Amendment #613 to H5500

To Support Fire Department Equipment Needs

Mr. Gómez of Easthampton moves to amend the bill by adding the following section:

"SECTION XXXX.; provided further, that not less than $65,000 shall be expended to the South Hadley Fire Department (District 2) to upgrade personal radios to P25-compliant equipment; provided further, that the Department’s current radios do not meet P25 standards, limiting interoperability with other emergency response agencies; provided further, that this funding shall ensure reliable communication during emergencies and improve coordination and responder safety;
