Amendment #815 to H5500

AFC Working Group

Mr. Kushmerek of Fitchburg moves to amend the bill in section 2, in item 4000-0601, by adding the following: "and provided further, that any working group convened to review the adult foster care program shall evaluate the eligibility criteria, scope of services, program oversight, workforce supply and pipeline, short- and long-term cost growth, the current state of any structural change initiatives of the adult foster care program and make recommendations for the long-term sustainability and cost containment of the program; and provided further, that said working group shall submit said recommendations on or before October 1, 2026, to the secretary of administration and finance, house and senate committees on ways and means and the joint committee on health care financing and that no cost cutting measures will be implemented prior to the release of the working group’s recommendations,"
