Amendment #922 to H5500

Nonprofit Security Grants

Mr. Honan of Boston moves to amend the bill in section 2, in line item 8000-1127, by adding the following: “provided further, that not less than $150,000 shall be expended for a security personnel program to be piloted at nonprofits that have demonstrated to be high risk for terrorist attacks or hate crimes; and provided further, that the participating nonprofits shall contribute matching funds to such pilot program equal to $1 for every $1 contributed by the Commonwealth; and in said item by striking out the figures “$4,000,000” and inserting in place thereof the figures “$4,150,000".
