Amendment #984 to H5500

MassHealth-Funded Care Management Services

Mr. Moran of Lawrence moves to amend the bill by adding the following:

SECTION XX. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the executive

office of health and human services shall maintain MassHealth-funded care management services for MassHealth members who are active clients of the department of mental health, including those receiving adult community clinical services, the MassHealth population that is the most psychiatrically ill and at high risk of hospitalization and homelessness notwithstanding any reduction or elimination of funding for the community partners program more broadly. The executive office of health and human services shall contract directly with department of mental health contracted providers of adult community clinical services to continue providing care management services for said members, including care coordination, health navigation, arranging for long term services and supports, medication management support, prior authorization assistance, and discharge transition support, are preserved without interruption for the duration of fiscal year 2027
