RMV Facial Recognition

Mr. González of Springfield moves to amend the bill by adding the following section:

“SECTION XXXX. Section 220 of Chapter 6 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2024 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting the following new subsection:-

(f) Use of facial recognition and other biometric software will be limited to establishing a criminal history where a felony is charged or where there are more than two misdemeanor charges have been filed against the person for whom the request is being made. Said history will compiled for a maximum of ten years unless there is a felony conviction of a date more than ten years before the request of use of facial recognition or bio metric software.”
