Corrective Amendment

Ms. Lovely moves to amend the report By inserting after the word “matter” in the first sentence of the last paragraph of Rule 1D the following words:- filed by a member of the general court; and

in said Rule 1D, in said sixth paragraph, by striking out the words “House bill in the Committee” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- “bill in the Committee filed by a member of the house of representatives”; and

in said Rule 1D, in said sixth paragraph, by striking out the words “Senate bill in the Committee” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- “bill in the Committee filed by a member of the senate”; and

By adding the following paragraph to said rule 1D:-

Any matter not filed by a member of the General Court, including but not limited to matters filed by the Governor, shall have a hearing and a vote scheduled upon agreement of the co-chairs of the committee. Said vote shall be taken from each member of the Committee, and if a majority of the members of the Committee voting on the matter vote in support of the matter, then the bill shall be reported favorably and referred to the branch in which the matter was originally introduced except that reports on money bills shall be made to the House.
