Community Schools

Messrs. Lewis, Mark and O'Connor move that the proposed new text be amended in section 2A, in item 1596-2517, by inserting after the word “projects” the following words:-

"; provided further, that the department of elementary and secondary education shall expend not less than $3,000,000 in the form of grants to school districts for implementation of community schools, including, but not limited to, the hiring of community school coordinators"; and by striking out the figure "$100,000" and inserting in place thereof the following figure:- "$3,100,000".
